Collection: Max Kidruk

Max Kidruk is a Ukrainian writer, co-founder of the publishing house Borodaty Tamarin, and a popularizer of science. He was born on April 1, 1984, in the town of Volodymyrets in the Rivne region. He graduated from school with a gold medal, having studied in a physics and mathematics class with an intensive focus on foreign languages. Right after graduation in 2001, he enrolled at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, and later pursued two postgraduate studies — one in Kyiv and another in Stockholm. However, in 2009, Kidruk left academia to transition from a programmer and technical engineer into a full-time writer.
His debut book was published in 2009 and was a travelogue: Mexican Chronicles: The Story of a Dream, which he wrote after an extended journey through Mexico. From there, his passion for travel and writing became unstoppable — Max ventured to South America, explored countries in the Middle East, spent a month in the Sahara, and traveled to New Zealand. Over the course of his journeys, he published three more autobiographical travelogues.
In 2012, a new chapter of his creative path began: Kidruk released BOT, the first Ukrainian techno-thriller. Today, Max Kidruk’s books have become bestsellers, captivating readers with their depth, unpredictability, and immersive take on the world of technology.
