The Pale Horse

When a Catholic priest is murdered under mysterious circumstances, a list of names is found hidden in his shoe. Many of these individuals are already deceased, and the surviving ones soon meet untimely ends. As rumours spread about three witches residing at a place called "The Pale Horse," believed to cause death through supernatural means, historian Mark Easterbrook and Inspector Lejeune delve into the case. They must uncover whether these deaths are the result of dark magic or a more earthly, sinister plot.
