A warm literary evening unfolded in the heart of Valencia as members of the “Read and Discuss VLC” book club came together with Booklya, a Ukrainian bookstore in Spain, to delve into the provocative and powerful book Kill Consciously.
The club’s founders — Yanina and Liuba — have been uniting Ukrainians in Spain through literature and open conversations for over a year. This time, they invited readers to explore deep and daring topics: inner rage, trauma, boundaries, and the voice of the inner child. The discussion was honest, emotional, and engaging — because this book refuses to leave anyone indifferent.
💬 “These book club meetings are more than literary talks — they’re safe spaces where Ukrainian women in emigration can share their stories, reflect, and support each other,” shared one participant.
📖 At the end of the event, Booklya hosted a giveaway of two copies of My Inner Child Wants to Kill Consciously. The lucky winners went home with fresh reads and even deeper reflections.
Why does it matter?
