Where to start

• 1984 — Big Brother, the Thought Police and a man who dares to remember. The novel that gave us the word "Orwellian".
• Animal Farm — a short fable about a farm revolution that goes wrong. It reads in an evening and stays with you for years.
• 1984 & Animal Farm — both novels in one edition.
• Homage to Catalonia — Orwell's memoir of fighting in the Spanish Civil War. A special book to read in Spain.
