Anatomy: A Love Story is a gothic historical romance set in 1817 Edinburgh, following 17-year-old Hazel Sinnett, a noblewoman determined to become a surgeon in a society that deems such aspirations unfit for women. Disguised as a man, she attends medical lectures but is expelled upon discovery. Striking a deal with renowned surgeon Dr. Beecham, Hazel agrees to pass the physician's examination independently to continue her medical pursuits. Lacking access to cadavers, she enlists Jack Currer, a resurrection man who procures bodies for dissection. Together, they delve into the mysteries surrounding the bodies and uncover dark secrets within Edinburgh's society.
