Ukrainian-language edition. Me, Shonik and Spitsbergen (Ukrainian title, transliterated: Ya, Shonik i Shpitsberhen) is a travel novella by Kuzma Skriabin, the singer and leader of the band Skriabin (real name Andriy Kuzmenko). It was published by Folio; this edition dates from 2024.
The author and his friend Shonik, who lives in Uzhhorod and is never able to sit at home, decide to visit the far North and set off on an expedition to Spitsbergen. They are joined by their partners and friends, and the trip turns into a series of comic episodes told in the author's lively, informal voice. The edition also includes songs from 2006 to 2014, which show his lyrical side.
It is a light, quick read for readers who know Skriabin's music and for anyone who likes funny travel stories. At 122 pages it is an easy book to finish in an evening or to take on a trip of your own.
