El juego de los conejos is an illustrated children’s story by Sandra Siemens, with illustrations by Natalia Colombo, published by Fondo de Cultura Económica (Mexico) in 2025. It appears in the children’s collection “Los especiales de A la orilla del viento.”
The story plays with a familiar, high-energy game: five rabbits run around four chairs, the music stops, and one rabbit is left out—then the round repeats with fewer chairs and fewer players. As the rabbits are “eliminated,” the book keeps the rhythm and curiosity alive: the songs continue, the play doesn’t stop, and a gentle question hangs in the air—where did the rabbits go?
This edition is a compact, hardback picture book with 32 illustrated pages, making it easy to hold for little hands and perfect for bedtime or classroom read‑aloud. If you’re looking for a Spanish children’s book that feels musical, playful, and interactive, this one fits beautifully into daily reading routines. It’s especially well suited for preschoolers and early readers who love repetition, surprise, and stories that invite them to “join in” as you turn the pages.
Parents and educators will appreciate how naturally the book supports attention, listening, and early counting/sequence awareness—without turning storytime into a lesson. For kids, it delivers the best kind of reading experience: movement, laughter, and that irresistible urge to ask, “Again!”
